What's new in Java EE 6

J2EE 1.4, Java EE 5 ... and soon Java EE 6. 2009 coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Enterprise Edition and the release of its new version. But does your grand-father J2EE resemble the young Java EE of today? In this session, Antonio Goncalves will present the coming Java EE 6: a richer, lighter, easier programming model. New EJBs, simplified packaging, an enriched persistence layer, a new API for RESTful services, a radical simplification of the web layer and ... many other improvements that will make Java EE 6 platform ideal for your applications. Using open-source implementations, deployed in lightweight containers... Java EE 6 applications will combine standards and robustness.
